Welcome to the web site for our garden, Cornerstones, situated in Radcliffe-on-Trent in Nottinghamshire, England.
Our garden is only open under the National Gardens Scheme (see Visiting the Garden for 2020 dates, and by appointment for groups of fifteen or more in July and August).
We opened our garden, with some trepidation, for the first time in 2007 but, despite the awful weather, our visitors were very complimentary. This encouraged us to open again the following year and the next, and the next! In 2015 we had a break. We re-opened in 2016 and will be open again in 2020, our 13th year.
2010 saw a major replanting of some of the main flower borders as the garden continues to evolve. Like many of our fellow gardeners we are still discovering the effects of the hard winter of 2010/11 and, no doubt, this will result in yet more re-planting. However, we looked upon this as an opportunity to re-assess some of our planting schemes, rather than as a disaster!
The pages covering the Flower garden and the Vegetable garden include some of our photographs. However, there is nothing like the real thing and we hope you will be tempted to visit.
